Does it hurt?
No! Some people may experience pain or discomfort during the procedure, but it is usually minimal and short-lived. At most the incisions feel like a pinching sensation or similar to light scratches.
How long do the hijaama (cupping) marks last on the body?
Circular or oval-shaped marks on the skin where the cups were applied is a common result of cupping. These marks vary in size and colour depending on the individual's skin type. These marks can last from a few days up to a week.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions will vary depending on individual health concerns and goals. On average a session every 3-4 months is ideal for consistency in flushing the cardiovascular system of bacteria and toxins.
How long does a session last?
Usually a session lasts between 30 minutes & 1 hour tops.
Can you have cupping done whilst pregnant?
No! wait 6 months after giving birth
Do you do home visits?
No! All sessions take place here at the HQ.
Can you have cupping done whilst breast feeding?

Do you treat men and women?
Yes! We have qualified and insured male and female cupping therapists to treat both male and female clients.
How many cups should be used?
This will be decided on the day of the session following a full diagnosis.
What should I do BEFORE a hijaama session?
Ensure you have taken a shower before treatment. Leave stomach empty for approximately 2 hours before the session. Hydrate plenty – water is the best drink for hydration. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Avoid heavy meals.
What should I do AFTER a hijaama session?
Rest. Hydrate. Avoid showering for 6 hours. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Avoid sexual relations for 24 hours. Apply cream/oil to affected areas.
Difference between dry and wet cupping?
Both involve the use of suction cups to create a vacuum on the skin.
Dry cupping does NOT involve making any incisions so no blood is taken out of the body.
Wet cupping DOES involve creating small incisions on the skin, thereby removing the toxic and bacterial blood from the body.
Do you do cupping to treat fertility and PCOS?
Yes! After a full diagnosis on the day of the session, we will target the cups on areas of the body which is specifically used to treat fertility &/or PCOS.
Can you have cupping done whilst being anaemic?
Yes! If you are severely anaemic then cupping is not recommended, however if you are slightly anaemic then cupping can be performed.
It is always advised to contact your local GP/health practitioner first before deciding to go ahead with cupping.
Can you have cupping done whilst menstruating?
Yes!
How much blood will come out?
This varies from person to person. The better blood flow someone has, the more blood that will be excreted.
